This page is full of answers to frequently asked questions as well as my bakery policies.
Buttercream cakes can be left at room temperature safely for up to 8 hours. Do I recommend this? Nope!
I like to store my cakes in the fridge until 1 hour prior to serving. Most cakes have some type of support system in place so please be cautious while cutting. Cake can be left out at a party after cutting for 6-8 hours and still taste great. I like to store leftovers in the fridge covered.
I require a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks notice for most bakery orders. For last minute orders I will try my best to squeeze you in. For weddings and large events, depending on the time of the year, I require 3 to 6 months notice.
To place an order I require all the details in writing, disclaimer of no food allergies, and a 50% nonrefundable deposit. My deposit pays for all the ingredients and special features I need for your cake. The deposit will only be refunded in the event I cannot complete your order or extenuating circumstances.
upon receiving your deposit I will complete a contract including your designs drawn out, details on flavors, and any additional information needed.
Remaining balance is due 48 hours prior to the event.
My first question to you is, how is your driving?
Once the cake leaves the bakery I am no longer responsible for any damage. Make sure to drive slow, no racing. Beware of sharp turns, keep your car nice and cold, place the box on the flattest area you can find, and make sure it doesn’t roll around.
Delivery fee starts at $20
Deposits are non-refundable. Unfortunately, because I am a small home bakery I cannot allow for cancellations. Once the order is placed and deposit is made I begin purchasing ingredients and any additional items needed. Cancellations will only be considered on an individual basis, but not accepted within 48 hours of pickup/delivery. During the last 48 hours I begin baking and working on accents, at that point payment in full cannot be refunded. Thank you for your understanding and supporting my small business policy!
If you send someone else to pick up your order, it is now their responsibility to check it over. Remind them to check over the colors, spelling, and overall condition of the cake. Once it leaves with them I am no longer responsible for the bakery item.
If you are unhappy with your order, bring the matter to my attention before you leave. Once you leave with your order, I cannot help you solve any issues – all sales are final.
You will be asked to sign a waiver on large multi-tier cakes (3 tiers or more) when picking up the cake yourself. This release states that the order was baked to your preference, and once you leave the bakery, the cake becomes your responsibility.
Due to different cake and cake board sizes, cake boxes may not be available for the size of your cake. I will do my best to cover and protect the cake to make transport easier. Use caution when moving the cake, always carry from the bottom, and avoid direct summer sun when possible.
The most important thing is that you are happy with your cake and it arrives safe and sound!
I require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your order.
For off menu or holiday items I require payment in full at booking.
Remaining balance is due 48 hours prior to the event.*
*Wedding orders require balance to be paid 1 week prior to event
All photos are taken as inspiration and I do not copy others (or my previous cakes) designs exactly.
As I decorate, I get creative and make changes as needed for the overall design of the cake. All items are quality checked and if something doesn’t meet my standards it will be replaced with something or equal (or sometimes greater!) value.
If there are any issues with the design please address them at pickup. Once the cake leaves the bakery I cannot fix anything :)
Yes, unless specified at the time of order any creation of mine can be posted to promote my business or work on the following (but not limited to) my website and social media outlets. Your beautiful desserts or florals might inspire another client :)
Pickup windows are 30 minutes and will be written in your invoice at the time of order (and confirmed at the final balance payment). This 30 minute window is to allow for traffic but to also allow me to plan my day. Missed pickups will be rescheduled based on my availability- orders not picked up within 48 hours will be donated (firehouses LOVE treats!)
